Clickers for Students
Do You Need to Buy a Clicker?
Instructors may allow the use of mobile devices (smartphones, tablets, or computers) to respond to in-class polls or may require the use of a hardware clicker (can be purchased at the VolShop). Check with your instructor to verify what is required for your class.
Setting Up Your Clicker or Device
- Creating an Echo360 PointSolutions Account (for Students) (and registering your clicker)
- Clickers: Creating a Echo360 PointSolutions Account without a Canvas Course Navigation Link (Students)
All participants using PointSolutions must use the NetID@tennessee.edu format when creating accounts and logging in to a polling session. This will ensure the participant is connected to the correct profile and session data is saved correctly.
*Echo360 recommends that students do not use a VPN when submitting attendance or when responding to polling questions due to latency or GPS location issues.
For more information or questions, contact the OIT HelpDesk online or by phone at 865-974-9900.
Point Solutions by Echo360 is the campus-supported personal response system for classroom polling. A subscription/license is provided to all students through the TechFee.
