Help for Technology-Enhanced  Classrooms

These days, most classrooms have technology. We’re here to help with all the technology you may find in a typical Technology-Enhanced Classroom (TEC) such as projectors, document cameras, and WolfVision Cynaps. We can also help you incorporate technology into your teaching style.

We have a new website to help you with your classroom technology needs: classrooms.utk.edu.

On classrooms.utk.edu, you can:

  • Search for your campus-hosted classroom and get individualized instructions for that room.
  • Get Technology Training resources on Cynap, Document Cameras, your classroom control panel, using Zoom in your classroom, and much more.
  • See videos on using the hybrid model for teaching face-to-face and remote students at the same time using the classroom technology.
  • Much more.

Remember, if you need help:

What’s Available

More than 300 classrooms across campus have accessible teaching technologies. Check out the classrooms.utk.edu site and then use the drop-down menu to search for your building and room number to find specific information for campus-hosted classrooms.

Many classrooms contain:

SMART Notebook Downloads

UTK no longer has a contract for SMART Notebook software, but you may still download it for use in classrooms that still have SMART devices. You can run the software in limited mode and still be able to use the annotation features.

Please note, that some classrooms still have control panels that list a Smartboard as an option. In many of these rooms, the Smartboard has been replaced with an Epson Interactive projector.
