LTI App Integrations and Online@UT (Canvas)
The external, third-party LTI apps listed below are either currently integrated into the UTK Canvas for-credit environment (Online@UT) or were installed in the past and have since been removed. These tools can be installed in different ways, and at different levels:
The GREEN status (Generally Available) means that an integration is installed and ready for use by any instructor that has officially adopted the use of that tool with VolBooks.
The YELLOW status (Limited Availability) means that, while the tool is installed, it is not necessarily available for general use. In some cases, a tool must be installed on a course-by-course basis. In other cases, a tool has been installed only for a single sub-account’s use, because a specific department or college pays for it. Sometimes a tool is discipline-specific, so it would not apply to courses in other disciplines. Contact the Canvas Support Team if you have any questions about tools with the Limited Availability status.
The RED status (Unavailable) means that a tool has either been denied integration approval, or its integration has been removed. This status can signify the tool no longer functions, its company/vendor has gone out of business, or because the company/vendor chose not to work with VolBooks to provide the tool to students in the most cost-efficient way.
POTENTIAL ALTERNATIVES lists similar external tools installed in the UTK Canvas for-credit environment (Online@UT) that could be used in place of the tool listed. Some tools are relatively unique and do not have viable alternatives; other tools have one or more potential alternatives.
VOLBOOKS TOTAL ACCESS READY means that the vendor works with VolBooks to offer their tool to students via the Total Access or Course Access program. LTI APPLICATION SUPPORT LEVELS
Full Support means that the Canvas Support Team supports the application and its use. Applications with full support include enterprise level agreements such as Akindi, Turnitin Similarity, and YuJa Verity.Â
Minimal Support means that the Canvas Support Team can only assist by ensuring the application is in place and functional within Online@UT (Canvas). All technical support requests will be directed towards the application vendor.
