Setting Up a Canvas Catalog Course

We at OIT are happy to assist you in offering a course or a program in Canvas Catalog.

There is a fee structure associated with Canvas Catalog

Catalog courses are $9.00 per user per course, effective August 1, 2022, per our contract with Canvas. The departments/colleges are billed monthly for the new users. To discuss specific costs per course or program, please submit a request.

When will OIT charge my department/college a fee to use Canvas Catalog?

OIT will not charge your department/college if the course(s)/program(s) is being offered without a fee and opens enrollment only for UTK users.

For all other course(s)/program(s) being offered, OIT will charge the department/college a one-time $9.00 fee per user (both UTK and non-UTK users) per course.

  • Example: You offer a course with no fee, but the course has open enrollment for UTK users, UT System users, and Non-UTK users.
