OIT is excited to announce some changes coming to the UT Zoom system on January 13, 2026. 

Redesigned Home Page 

OIT Is launching a redesigned home page at tennessee.zoom.us. 

New Waiting Room 

OIT is implementing a UTK-branded Waiting Room image for UTK faculty, staff, and students. This new image will give your waiting room a professional look and feel. 

Updated Security 

Zoom has announced that all meetings are to be secured with one of the following security options:  

• Passcode 
• Waiting Room 
• “Only authenticated users can join meetings” 
  Follow these instructions to sign in via a Web browser, or download and sign in through the Zoom app.

If you do not enable one of these options for your meeting, Zoom will secure meetings with the Waiting Room.
