YuJa Canvas Test Proctoring

YuJa Verity is the new proctoring software integrated within Online@UT (Canvas) for proctoring online assessments. 

YuJa Verity is a secure, all-in-one test proctoring platform that ensures academic integrity through automated, live, and lockdown proctoring options. With features like analytics and reporting, third-party test protection, and student accommodation profiles, YuJa Verity supports flexible, device-compatible exam environments. Instructors can manage assessments, receive real-time alerts, and review detailed proctoring reports to uphold test security and consistency. 

Key Features and Components 

  • Proctoring Options: Instructors can choose between fully automated, AI-powered monitoring orlive, human proctoring with your own staff. 
  • Proctoring Parameters: Two distinct modalities from which instructors can choose:
    • A browser extension version (requiring that test-takers use Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Brave, or Opera) 
    • A downloadable, browser-independent Lockdown Module version 
  • Security Measures: Features to prevent cheating include optional AI-based ID verification, facial analysis, a required 360o room scan, screen recording, and real-time notifications for flagged behaviors. 
  • Integration: YuJa Verity supports proctoring for third-party platforms like Pearson and McGraw Hill. 
  • Reporting: After an assessment, instructors and administrators receive detailed reports and analytics, including a log of all flagged incidents color-coded by severity level.
