It’s hard to believe, but Spring 2027 courses are right around the corner! To help ensure the smoothest transition between Fall and Spring semesters, please follow these best practices: 

VolBooks Adoption Process 

First, make sure to adopt your textbook, courseware, third-party course materials, and educational technology tools with VolBooks. There are some exceptions to what needs to be adopted, but as a rule, it’s best to adopt anything you use to present and teach your course. If you’re not sure, you can always contact VolBooks for guidance. To begin the process, launch the VolBooks account request form. The adoption deadline for the Winter Mini-Term and Spring 2027 semesters is November 1. Don’t let the date pass you by! 

Canvas LTI Integrations 

Second, if you’re using a new textbook, trying out new courseware, or just curious about what your options are when using third-party external tools with your courses, please visit the LTI App Integrations webpage. On the LTI App Integrations page, you can see what’s already installed, as well as what’s available to specific units on campus. Be sure to adopt with VolBooks any tools you plan to use. If the integration you’re interested in is not already installed, you can learn more about requesting installation on the LTI Integration Process webpage.
