UT Verse: Create an AI Assistant

UT Verse AI Assistant

Within UT Verse, you can create an AI Assistant to respond in a preferred voice and tone. When you find yourself providing the same suggestions repeatedly, it’s time to make an AI Assistant.

An AI assistant is essentially a saved configuration that outlines its awareness and actions based on your preferences. By providing key guiding information, you equip the AI assistant with everything it needs to start your conversations effectively. Beyond answering questions, your assistant can create project plans, manage tasks, draft procedures, craft mission statements, and more—all tailored to align with your goals.

Prompt Examples

Audience: College students
Prompt: Use Gen Z slang and emojis

Audience: Administrative professionals
Prompt: Use professional language with a matter-of-fact tone

Audience: College students
Prompt: Talk like a pirate

But the most challenging part isn’t coming up with the words. It’s deciding:

  • What kind of help would make my work or learning easier?
  • What style, tone, or approach fits me best?
  • How can I simplify the things I do over and over?

If you’re not sure where to start, try a cross-disciplinary approach from Nonviolent Communication (NVC):

  1. Observe what you do often.
  2. Notice how it makes you feel—overwhelmed, bored, curious.
  3. Connect those feelings to what you need—clarity, speed, creativity, etc.
  4. Create an assistant that matches those needs.

You can keep it simple, e.g., Talk like Gen Z, or design something more specialized that becomes part of your daily workflow.

That’s all an AI assistant is—a saved way of working with AI, ready whenever you are.
