Stata 19: Latest Features and Enhancements

StataCorp has officially released Stata 19, a powerful upgrade packed with new features designed to expand analytical capabilities, enhance user experience, and support research. This latest version builds on the continuous delivery model of StataNow, bringing high-quality tools and updates to users as soon as they are ready—without having to wait for the next major release.
What’s New in Stata 19
Stata 19 introduces a wide array of substantive improvements across statistical methods, machine learning, graphics, reporting, and more. Highlights include:
- Machine Learning with H2OML
The new H2OML suite lets users build high-performance predictive models using H2O’s scalable machine learning tools—ideal when traditional models fall short. - Expanded Statistical Methods
More than 20 new or enhanced tools, including High-dimensional Fixed Effects (HDFEs), Correlated Random Effects (CREs) for panel data, Bayesian bootstrap resampling, and Instrumental-variables Structural VAR models for time series to name a few. - Enhanced Reporting and Tables
Easily create, customize, and export publication-ready tables with a single line of code. More Stata outputs now integrate seamlessly into these tables. - New Graphics Features
Add heat maps, bar plots with confidence intervals, and more. Improved labeling, group control, and variable-based customization offer finer graphical control. - Do-file Editor Enhancements
Enjoy a smoother coding workflow with improved autocompletion, code folding, templates, word highlighting, and a new interface for managing bookmarks.
