Spring Transition to OptiSigns

We are pleased to announce that OptiSigns will replace Hypersign as the University’s digital signage platform. This upgrade will enhance how we share information across campus and provide a more modern, flexible solution for managing digital displays. 

Key benefits of OptiSigns

  • Improved reliability, security, and performance, plus reporting metrics 
  • Support for dynamic content: announcements, calendars, videos, and live data
  • Integration with tools like Canva, YouTube, and social media 
  • A user-friendly interface for content creation and scheduling 
  • Scalable to support future campus needs 

Cost Model

  • OptiSigns Monthly License fee – $16.85
  • 2 ways of to purchase the video player:
    • Pro Signage Player — $345.97 plus $50 installation 
    • Pro Signage Player monthly cost — $14.41 (no installation fee)
  • OptiStick Andriod Player (one time cost) — $100

Next Steps and Timeline

This change will take place over the spring semester. Our OIT transition team will contact you in the coming weeks to schedule your migration to OptiSigns. Training resources, access instructions, and support documentation will be provided during this process. Hypersign administrators will retain access to their existing files for migration and backup through June 30, 2026.
