Surveys in New Quizzes
A new quiz type, Surveys, has been made available for Canvas New Quizzes. Instructors can use this quiz type to collect anonymous or non-anonymous feedback, with graded or ungraded options. This feature offers instructors a more intuitive way to engage students, promote reflection, and gauge comprehension of course content/materials. Canvas Surveys Quizzes are intended to provide a convenient way to gather instructional feedback. For academic research and administrative surveys, OIT recommends Qualtrics.

Canvas Media—YouTube Overlay
When an instructor adds a YouTube video to their course outside of Canvas Studio, an overlay message displays, alerting viewers that ads may appear. Since ads are managed by YouTube, this feature benefits instructors and students by letting them know in advance that their learning experience could be interrupted.
