When it comes to life after graduation, UT Knoxville students now have even more opportunities to develop an edge over the competition—the Vol Edge, that is. Student Success and OIT partnered to deliver an engaging and interactive online component to the broader Vol Edge program. The online modules invite students to think deeply about their career journeys through personalized activities that support their career readiness, well-being, networking, personal brand, and experience.

Student Success’s vision for empowering students with the UT advantage, paired with OIT’s expertise in developing compelling instructional content, proved to be a winning combination for our students. Early survey data collected within the program revealed that more than 99% of students felt they were able to achieve their learning goals. For specific soft skills, such as knowing how to set up an informational interview, knowing where to go on campus for help with basic needs and well-being, and establishing their personal brand, student evaluations indicated growth in self-confidence upon completion of the program.
