Maple 2026 New Features 


Maple - Essential Tools for Mathematics

Maple by Maplesoft is computational software platform used for engineering, science, mathematics, education, and other areas of technical research. Researchers commonly use Maple for modeling systems, solving complex equations, data analysis, simulation, algorithm development, and creating interactive technical documents and applications. The Maple License Agreement between OIT and Maplesoft provides Maple for Mac, Linux, and Windows 64-bit platforms.

The Maple 2026 release includes several new features including: 

  • Better support for AI-assisted and research-oriented workflows in computational science 
  • Document import and conversion of formats including PDFs, Word documents, and presentations 
  • Expanded symbolic and numerical computation capabilities with improvements to differential equation solvers, polynomial system solving, and numerical solving routines 
  • Plotting themes that enhance visualization and interactive workflow tools 
  • Improved teaching and learning support with recognition of a wider variety of solution steps, generation of practice problems, and step-by-step solutions with more accurate feedback
