Access After Leaving or Graduating

Faculty/Staff

Effective July 31, 2021, employees who leave the university in good standing will retain access to their UT email account for 30 days.

Students

Students retain access to Volmail indefinitely after graduating or leaving the university. Before you graduate or leave the university, we encourage you to set up your Volmail password options BEFORE your NetID has been deleted from the UT Online Directory. Your NetID is deleted from the UT Online Directory one year after graduating or leaving the university. In the event that you forget your password or it becomes corrupted, you will be able to create a new password.
