OneIT is launching a new feature designed to improve the UT online directory. Beginning in mid-August, visitors will be able to send you a message through the online directory while keeping your contact information private. Your email address will be shared only if you choose to respond. 

Faculty, staff, and students who sign in will continue to see contact information, including email addresses, office addresses, and published phone numbers. 

This change helps protect the campus community from spam and automated collection of email addresses by bots on the Internet. At the same time, it still gives prospective students, collaborators, and other visitors a way to connect with the right person. This approach balances privacy and security with UT’s commitment to being accessible and easy to reach.
