In support of UT Knoxville’s graduate teaching assistants (GTAs) who co-teach and rely on Online@UT (Canvas) to organize and manage course materials, we’re excited to introduce an asynchronous GTA Canvas Guide. It is a self-paced guide designed to help new teaching assistants navigate Canvas with confidence. The guide offers practical tips and insights for tasks such as preparing to teach, grading assignments, engaging students, and troubleshooting common issues. 

The GTA Canvas Guide has six modules, and aims to help GTAs: 

• Describe their role as a GTA using Online@UT (Canvas). 
• Develop assignments, discussions, quizzes, and question banks within Online@UT (Canvas). 
• Use the Online@UT (Canvas) Gradebook. 
• Apply Canvas tips and tricks in their teaching.
