About Our Service

High Performance Scientific Computing (HPSC) works with researchers who need specialized high-end, supercomputing resources for their work. The resources provided include the Infrastructure for Scientific Applications and Advanced Computing (ISAAC).  

The HPSC team provides help with:  

• System administration support, scientific computing support, documentation, and training.
• Secure research environment for Protected Health Information and Controlled Unclassified Information.
• Open Enclave: to be used for research involving non-sensitive data
• Secure Enclave: to be used for research involving sensitive data, including Protected Health Information (PHI) and Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI).
• System and administration support: scientific computing, documentation, training, software installation and maintenance, and other support services are included. 
• Archival storage system for the long-term storage of research data and data collections intended for use by UTK researchers, UTK researchers using the ISAAC HPC cluster resources, and for use by the UTK Core Facilities.
