In proud support of UT’s veteran scholars, the Office of Innovative Technologies (OIT) recently partnered with the Veterans Success Center (VSC) to transform the traditional Green Zone training workshop into a self-paced, online learning experience.

This asynchronous workshop—now available in Canvas Catalog—offers faculty and staff a flexible way to learn how to better support student veterans and service members.

The project brought together multiple OIT teams:

• Instructional Design: Structured the course and crafted the learning experience
• Video Production: Captured interviews with VSC staff and a student veteran to personalize the content
• Graphic Design: Created visual elements to enhance engagement

The result is a dynamic, accessible training blending expert ideas, authentic voices, and interactive content that empowers the UT community to foster a more inclusive and supportive environment for those who have served.
