System Overview on ISAAC ORI

ISAAC Legacy to ISAAC ORI Transition Timeline

All future dates are tentative. Any required changes to the timeline will be posted here as soon as they become known.

  • June 23rd, 2024 – June 24th, 2024: ISAAC Legacy + ORI outage. Return half of skylake compute nodes to production in ISAAC Legacy and half in ISAAC ORI. Users must begin testing their code on ORI cluster.
  • July 8th, 2024: Move remaining skylake compute nodes in campus partition from Legacy to ORI.
  • August 31st, 2024: Final date for migration of skylake nodes in private condos from Legacy to ORI. All older beacon and sigma compute nodes will be decommissioned at this time. Any private condos consisting of beacon/sigma nodes will be removed or reconstituted from skylake nodes.

The following is the information on the resources available in the ISAAC ORI cluster. The below table lists the cluster compute nodes available to users of ISAAC ORI.

Note: The resources below are include both the approximate current and eventual counts and may intermittently not be fully accurate until the transition is complete. Execute command isaac-sinfo to view the currently available resources.
