Students: Top 8 Tech-Checks to Test before Finals
Finals are just around the corner. As you think about the end of the semester, consider using this checklist to reduce the risk of technology glitches.
1. Check your clicker grades.
2. Familiarize yourself with Proctorio—the automated proctoring service integrated with Canvas.
- Review the OIT Proctorio Guides for Students.
- Contact Proctorio for assistance:
- The easiest way to access support is via live chat. Simply click the extension icon in the upper right-hand corner of your browser before, during, or after the exam.
- Email: Email Proctorio Support (support@proctorio.com)
3. Complete a practice quiz that uses Proctorio to ensure your computer equipment runs properly.
4. Download and install the correct browser extension for Proctorio.
5. Connect to eduroam when taking exams on campus.

6. Check your username and password.
- Don’t wait until the last minute: Check your access by logging in to any resources you may need for studying or completing finals.
7. Keep your devices in top working order.
- Locate chargers for all of your devices and make sure they are charged before the big day.
- Install updates for your OS and applications.
8. Remember to relax.
