Clean up your storage
Whether you are using Microsoft OneDrive, Google Drive, T-Storage, or your hard drive, it’s time for a good cleaning. Follow these best practices:
- Start the process by first emptying the Recycle Bin or Trash folder.
- Check for the largest and oldest documents by folder and remove any you no longer need.
- Remove versions that are no longer needed.
- Review your Downloads folder for old installers or obsolete/temporary files.
- Review and delete large or unnecessary files in Google Drive.
Understand your file storage limits and learn how to check your current Google storage usage. - Have you remapped your I: Drive?
Changes to T-Storage H: and I: Drives
Clean up your email
Clean out your inbox by filing old messages, clearing out deleted messages, and checking and removing old project folders containing unnecessary emails. If you’re using Outlook, consider moving your mail to an online archive.
Clean up your Active Directory groups
Active Directory groups are used to access many resources, such as T-Storage Department (I: ) drives and shared mailboxes. Review your groups to ensure they are correct. Log in to the Email Account Management webpage and under Manage your Email Groups select Manage ownership and membership to review current members.
Clean up your space
Dusting your monitors, laptops, and physical desk keeps your technology running smoothly. Use canned air to clean out your keyboard. Surplus old equipment. And if you are still into paper, clean out your filing cabinets and toss old files into the recycling bin or paper shredder.
