Software for Faculty, Staff, and Students
UT maintains contracts with many software providers to provide faculty, staff, and students access to these school, work, and academic research applications. The software is made available through various methods depending on your primary campus affiliation and role within the University.
Software is available through the following methods:
OIT Software Distribution Website
Faculty, staff, and students can download and install software directly on their computers.
Launch the OIT Software Distribution site and log in with your UT NetID and password.
Apps@UTK
UTK faculty, staff, and students can run the software as if it were installed on their computer. Open and save files on your computer for printing. Use Apps@UTK from any Windows, Mac, Linux, iOS, or Android device.
Launch Apps@UTK and log in with your UT NetID and password.
Cloud-Based Software
Some software applications are accessed directly from the vendor or through a web browser. Applications include ESRI ArcGIS, Microsoft Office 365 ProPlus, Adobe Creative Cloud, Akinidi, Qualtrics, and LinkedIn Learning.
Locate software support and vendor information by entering the name of the software in the OIT Website Search Bar. OIT website search results include all of the documentation located in the OIT Knowledge Base.
Research Computing Support Software
OIT provides support for many open-source and centrally funded research software packages. The OIT Research Software webpage links to software descriptions, where you can run each package, and the level of support provided for each program.
High Performance & Scientific Computing with ISAAC Resources
ISAAC has an extensive library of software available for the UT research community.
