Software for Faculty, Staff, and Students

UT maintains contracts with many software providers to provide faculty, staff, and students access to these school, work, and academic research applications. The software is made available through various methods depending on your primary campus affiliation and role within the University.

Software is available through the following methods:

OIT Software Distribution Website
Faculty, staff, and students can download and install software directly on their computers.
Launch the OIT Software Distribution site and log in with your UT NetID and password.

Apps@UTK
UTK faculty, staff, and students can run the software as if it were installed on their computer. Open and save files on your computer for printing. Use Apps@UTK from any Windows, Mac, Linux, iOS, or Android device.
Launch Apps@UTK and log in with your UT NetID and password.

Cloud-based Software
Some software applications are accessed directly from the vendor or through a web browser. Cloud-based applications include ESRI ArcGIS, Microsoft Office 365 ProPlus, Adobe Creative Cloud, Akinidi, Qualtrics, and LinkedIn Learning.

UT Verse (ChatGPT)
UT’s generative AI chat universe, where you can have AI conversations about topics geared toward our internal audiences, university business, and research. UT Verse will provide easy access to ChatGPT, where UT data is protected and not shared with the public AI model.

High Performance & Scientific Computing with ISAAC
ISAAC has an extensive library of software available for the UT research community.
