Microsoft Forms: Move a Form to a Microsoft Team

The Microsoft Forms application is a great tool to collect information, take surveys, or create an assessment. MS Forms allows you to share or add specific collaborators to a form and add the form directly to a Microsoft Team. Once shared with a Team, the team can easily access the form and results. This is a helpful practice to consider as “the Team” becomes the owner of the form, reducing the likelihood of the form becoming “orphaned” when people change roles or leave the university.

Forms that have been added to a Team or Group can be viewed within My Groups in MS Forms or can be added to a tab within a Channel of your MS Team.

  1. Open MS Forms.
  2. Select the ellipsis in the lower right corner (More Options) of your form.
  3. Select Move to a Group.
  4. Select the Team/Group.
  5. Select Move.
