Using ArcGIS StoryMaps

In addition to getting people from one place to another, maps can convey important contextual information and provide a unique opportunity for data visualization. The data visualization journey between locations can become meaningful and insightful with the use of ArcGIS StoryMaps. ArcGIS StoryMaps enable users to create web-based applications to share maps in the context of narrative text and other multimedia content. This provides researchers the unique opportunity to visualize geographic information system (GIS) data to tell a story of locations, give stronger meaning and understanding to place, illustrate spatial relationships, and allow researchers the ability to tell the story of the data or the context behind the numbers. ArcGIS users can create their own StoryMaps through their ArcGIS online account.
