Panopto Update Required for Macs

On July 20, 2023, Panopto will require Panopto for Mac clients to upgrade their Panopto app to version 13.0.0. Panopto for Mac version 13.0 will require at least macOS 11 (Big Sur). If you use macOS 10.15 (Catalina) or older, you will be required to upgrade to macOS 11 or newer to continue using the Panopto app. The latest version of macOS is 13.3.1 (Ventura).

Panopto will continue to support Panopto for Windows and Remote Recorder version 12.0 until July 2024.

How to upgrade

If you have an older version of the Panopto for Mac client, you will receive a prompt instructing you to upgrade when you launch your Panopto software.

Follow the prompt to download the updated Panopto for Mac client.

Record from your browser: You may record from the Panopto website at anytime by signing in at utk.hosted.panopto.com and selecting the green +Create button.
