On October 18, Turnitin launches its updated Similarity Report.

Turnitin Similarity is UT, Knoxville’s supported similarity checker tool for files submitted through Online@UT (Canvas) assignments. Turnitin promises that the new report will provide “quicker and more insightful integrity checks” so instructors can spend more time “providing meaningful feedback and effectively addressing emerging challenges” with students.

Changes You Will See:

• User-Friendly, Integrated Accessible Design:
  Provides users with a clearer view of the interface, more in-app help, and additional support for assistive technologies. The report is “more inclusive and enhances user experience.”
• Clarity and Focus:
  The updated report adds new match categories that help identify similarity faster and make the report easier to understand.
• Actionable Insights for Targeted Feedback:
  Integrity checks are more insightful, allowing instructors to differentiate between intent and teachable moments.
