High Performance Software

OIT’s High Performance & Scientific Computing group (HPSC) manages and supports a variety of licensed software on ISAAC clusters in addition to the Open-source software. Authenticated users are granted access to licensed software based upon the acceptable policy set by the company or the organization owning the software. The list of licensed software is summarized below:

STATA | Available to all the UT campuses except UT Martin. There is no limit on running serial binary for this package, but parallel binary can be run on 8 cores maximum and by 6 users simultaneously on all clusters

SAS | Available to all the UT campuses

MATLAB | Available to all the UT campuses except UT Martin and UT Southern

GAUSSIAN | Available to all the users from Knoxville campus

ABAQUS | Available to the users from the MABE, Department of Civil Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, Material Science and Engineering

ANSYS | Available to the users from MABE

VASP | Available to users who have purchased a license for VASP and have been added to VASP database.

Please check with the license manager in your group to see if you have been added to the VASP database, then submit an HPSC service request.
