SAS is a statistical software suite developed by SAS Institute for data management, advanced analytics, data access, and data visualization. SAS has released the latest SAS 9.4 Maintenance 8. This update primarily provides updates for the platform’s third-party technologies, including the Java runtime environment (JRE) and third-party JAR files for security improvement. Like all SAS maintenance releases, this release rolls up the hotfixes and enhancements delivered since the last maintenance update (SAS 9.4 Maintenance 7). It continues to add functionality that enables people of all abilities to access the power of SAS analytics.
A single-user license for academic use is available for no additional charge to students, faculty, and staff. SAS licenses are available for all University of Tennessee campuses and can be installed on personally-owned and UT-owned computers.
