Disruption of Service from Echo360(PointSolutions)
On Wednesday, April 12th, we were alerted to an unannounced system update within the PointSolutions interface. Echo360 enabled an update which created a serious disruption of service. This disruption did not require participant authentication to sessions and resulted in students appearing as unassigned devices in session data.
Any use of PointSolutions occurring on Saturday, April 8th, through Wednesday, April 12th, will have been affected by this update. If your session data results identify students with an “Unassigned Device,” where there may have been none prior, please submit an OIT HelpDesk ticket.
In efforts to mitigate further disruption, Echo360 has set the ‘enforce authentication setting’ on by default for all instructors. However, we strongly recommend you check this setting in either the PointSolutions Desktop app or the PointSolutions Web app by visiting the PointSolutions support guide.
