• In an emergency: dial 911
  (Your call will be answered by the local Public Safety Answering Point).
• UT Police: dial 4-3114, or if calling from off-campus dial (865) 974-3114

Local and Toll Free Dialing

• Knoxville campus numbers: dial only the last five digits (beginning with 4, 5, or 6 plus the four-digit extension number).
• Knoxville local numbers: the seven-digit number.
• Toll Free numbers: dial 1 + toll free number.

Long Distance Dialing

• Dial area code + number.

International Dialing

All RingCentral users are restricted from International Dialing.  Access to International Dialing may be requested by emailing telephoneservices@utk.edu.

• Dial country code + city code + number.

Information Calls

• Knoxville campus information from an on-campus extension: dial 4-1000, or if calling from off-campus dial (865) 974-1000
• Knoxville City Directory online
• Directory assistance: dial 411 (directory assistance fees will apply).

Other Considerations

• If you have hearing, speech, or physical disabilities, notify Disability Services at 865-974-6087. Telephone Services will work with Disability Services on a case-by-case basis to determine when a customer is eligible for additional considerations.
