UT is in the process of migrating its enterprise site license from Qualtrics to QuestionPro. At this stage of the migration, we are rolling QuestionPro out as a “beta test”, with the intent of putting it into full production on August 22, 2018. This is a good time to try it out and learn how it works, but we do not advise doing production work until that date. The feature set of our QuestionPro Enterprise Team Edition license is very similar to that of Qualtrics. Those features are described on the QuestionPro Features Page.

Important Qualtrics to QuestionPro migration dates:

August 22, 2018: This becomes the default login page for all web surveys. Qualtrics to QuestionPro migration training will begin. No new Qualtrics training will be offered, though Qualtrics will remain in our Full Support category for the foreseeable future.

January 1, 2019: New Qualtrics accounts will have maximum survey responses set to 100. This will allow classes to continue to use it for teaching while minimizing costs. Existing Qualtrics accounts will continue working as usual.

March 1, 2019: No new Qualtrics accounts will be created. Existing accounts will continue working as usual.

September 30, 2019: Enterprise Qualtrics license will end. Departments or individuals wishing to continue using Qualtrics will need to pay for their own license.

 

What is it? Qualtrics Research Core, a powerful online survey research tool, is available to all faculty, staff, and students at UTC, UTK and UTM. Once you create your Qualtrics account, you will be able to design simple to complex surveys in a web browser, distribute the survey, run frequencies as it continues to collect data and then download your data. For in-depth analysis, you can export your data to an SPSS, CSV, TXT or Excel file.

What can I use it for? Students, faculty, and staff can use Qualtrics for university-related academic or administrative purposes. Use that benefits outside organizations requires the purchase of a commercial license.

Where can I run it? Qualtrics is a cloud-based service. To create a new account or log in to an existing account, use the login button on the right of this page.

How can I learn it? For UTK, OIT offers workshops on Qualtrics each semester, and you can schedule a one-on-one tutorial by calling the OIT HelpDesk at 865-974-9900. Qualtrics also provides a variety of training materials on their support page.
