JMP Student Edition by JMP Statistical Discovery



What is it? JMP Student Edition is software for data management, analysis, and visualization that it is commonly used in applications such as design of experiments, scientific research, and quality control. It is particularly strong in visualizing data interactively, offering tools such as multiple linked graphs and 3D rotating scatterplots. JMP Student Edition contains the same features available in JMP Pro. JMP contains advanced techniques for predictive modeling, cross-validation, model comparison, and one-click bootstrapping. What can I use it for? Enrolled students, faculty, and researchers can use JMP for university-related teaching and academic research purposes. JMP may not be used for commercial research, administrative purposes, or to perform analyses that benefit outside organizations without the purchase of a commercial license.

Where can I run it? JMP Student Edition is made available at no additional charge to faculty, staff and students at UTK, UTC, UTHSC, UTM, and UTS. The download and installation instructions are located on OIT’s software download site. For UTK, JMP Pro is also available on OIT’s Apps@UT server and on the computers in the OIT public computer labs. There is no simultaneous user limit for JMP.

How can I learn it? The JMP user Community web page provides Web Resources where you can watch on-demand webcasts, a Learning Library that includes guides, tutorials, and demos, and the JMP Discussion Forum, where you can ask questions and share information about the JMP software.

Where can I get support? OIT offers Full Support for JMP. The JMP User Community web page also provides a variety of JMP support resources.
