Student Assistant, Teaching & Learning Technologies: Classroom Technology Assistant


The University of Tennessee’s Office of Innovative Technologies Teaching & Learning Technologies team is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the position of OIT Student Assistant as a classroom technology assistant. This position will support technology on campus through technical writing, visiting classrooms to document technology, and updating a WordPress site. This individual must have excellent communication (verbal and written), time management skills, ability to work independently and with groups, and ability to quickly pick up new technologies. Familiarity with WordPress is a plus.

The Student Assistant for OIT Teaching & Learning is an hourly-paid position open for UTK students who are available to work 10-20 hours per week. Starting pay is $13.00/hour.

Duties include:

  • Writing step-by-step instructions
  • Creating simple graphics
  • Assisting in creating instructional videos
  • Visiting classrooms to document technology
  • Assisting with updating a WordPress site (Students will be trained on how to do this)
