The Office of Innovative Technologies seeks self-motivated applicants who possess good customer service and communication skills, will take the initiative, are comfortable talking with people, and perform well in a team environment.

This position primarily provides onsite support for classroom recorders and webcasting audio-visual services to university customers. This position requires excellent time management and organization skills.

Applicants should be available to work 20 hours per week (M-F), preferably in blocks of 3+ hours. Students who can hold this position for more than one academic year are strongly preferred. Additionally, this position will require the ability to operate under pressure, tight time constraints, and lifting over 10 lbs. Occasional nights and weekend work are likely.

Duties will include the following:

  • Visit classrooms to test and troubleshoot classroom recorders regularly
  • Consult with clients (faculty, staff, or students) about AV capabilities and best practices on location
  • On-location troubleshooting
  • Audio/video equipment operation (cameras, microphones, mixers, video switchers, streaming encoders)
  • Video editing
  • An interest in audio and video, live event presentations, or related entertainment fields
  • Ability to work nights and weekends
  • Training Included

Salary: $13/hour

Availability: 20 hours per week, year-round
