We’re currently looking for Undergraduate and Graduate Student Assistants!
Applicants should be self-motivated, possess good customer service and communication skills, be able to take the initiative, be comfortable talking with people, and be able to perform well in a team environment. Applicants should be available to work 20 hours per week (M-F), preferably in blocks of 3+ hours. Students able to hold this position for more than one academic year are strongly preferred. Applicants with less than one academic semester remaining are not reviewed. The starting salary for this position is $13/hour.

Undergraduate or Graduate Student Assistant
The OIT HelpDesk is currently hiring for this position.
This is a programming/web development position that works closely with the Assistant Director of OIT Support and the HelpDesk Manager. This position is responsible for writing and maintaining web forms that interact with OIT’s TeamDynamix IT Service Management Platform ticketing system.
General Qualifications

Student in good academic standing

Graduate students must be able to work 20 hours per week, primarily between 8 AM and 5 PM.

Undergraduate students must be able to work at least 15 hours per week, primarily between 8 AM and 5 PM.

Must possess good interpersonal and teamwork skills

Must demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills

Must have some programming or web development experience
Desired Qualifications
-
Excellent attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving abilities

High degree of proficiency with PHP, Perl, HTML, CSS, XML
-
Experience with MySQL and Apache
-
Web development experience
- Experience API management or low-code development platforms
-
Linux administration and scripting experience
-
Experience with Windows and macOS is a plus

Customer service experience is a plus

Students able to hold this position for more than one academic year are strongly preferred
Graduate students selected for this position will receive full tuition reimbursement as well as a monthly stipend.
Undergraduate students start at $13/hour.
