Technology Fee Advisory Board

The Technology Fee supports the University’s mission by providing UT Knoxville students with improved access to the technological infrastructure, resources, and services, enhancing the student educational experience.

Tech Fee Awards

OIT and the Technology Fee Advisory Board partnered to distribute approximately 1 million in funding to UTK colleges across campus, allowing colleges to purchase technologies that enhance students’ experiences and success.

Software Availability at Substantial Cost Savings

The University provides many software packages to students, including Microsoft Office, Windows 11, LinkedIn Learning, Qualtrics, and a full research stack. By leveraging OIT’s buying power, we save the academic research community $32.7 million in software expenditures, including $19.2 million for students.
