Where do I begin?

Where do I begin?

Getting started with UT Verse can seem like a daunting task because it is in fact a new technology and is continuously changing. This can seem difficult at first to adapt and to keep up to date, however we are working collaboratively to help remove the barriers so that anyone can understand and benefit from using AI.

Before anything: Bookmark!

We recommend that you bookmark the main page of the UT Verse website here and come back occasionally for new guides, vodcast episodes, events and more. For any additional information outside this document, you may use the menu on the left side of the website.

Understanding what is and isn’t AI and its limitations

Before concluding this guide, it’s important to understand what UT Verse can and cannot do. While its responses may sound impressive and almost human-like, it functions similarly to a highly sophisticated word suggester on your phone or word processor.

UT Verse operates using a Large Language Model (LLM). Although these models are becoming increasingly advanced and capable, they fundamentally generate the next best word choice based on the context they were trained on. This means that AI, in the context of an LLM, does not have real-world experience to draw from when generating responses, nor does it understand human emotions.

Given these limitations, it’s essential to keep in mind that while UT Verse’s answers may seem human-like, they are ultimately predictions based on patterns in the data it was trained on. Therefore, its responses should be interpreted with this understanding in mind.

Despite these limitations, UT Verse is a highly beneficial application. By learning what it can do, exploring its features, and staying informed about future enhancements, you can significantly improve both your personal growth and workflow efficiency.
