In this video, you'll learn how to create a Zoom recording and then upload that video into Canvas. You can schedule a meeting in the Zoom desktop application or at our UTK Zoom web site located at tennessee dot zoom dot us. An alternative is simply to click Start or Start Meeting within your personal meeting room. Once in your meeting you can choose to have video on or off. The red slash over the video icon means off. You'll want your audio on. To share your screen, simply select Share Screen at the bottom of your Zoom meeting window. From here you'll be given various options such as sharing your full desktop or individual applications. Many people will share the PowerPoint application or their desktop. Recording a Zoom meeting is a simple process. Just select the Record icon at the bottom of the Zoom meeting window. Your recording will be saved directly to your computer. You can pause and stop the recording during the Zoom meeting at any time. Once the meeting ends there will be a short conversion process. Completed video recording files will be placed in your Documents folder in a folder called Zoom. Within Canvas there is a tool called Studio that is used to host video recordings. Click on the Studio link in the gray global navigation menu to the left to access your private studio video channel, where all of your videos will be hosted. Within the Zoom folder and documents there are folders marked with the date for anytime a Zoom meeting has been recorded. Here is one such meeting: zoom underscore zero dot MP4. Although you can always rename the MP4 file if you like. You can either browse to the MP4 or drag and drop it directly into your private Studio channel. Studio takes that video and processes it making it ready to share. Now that it's in Studio you can turn in your video as an assignment.
