Universal Design for Learning (UDL) in Higher Education

UDL Consultation with Bob DuBois

Bob DuBois, Senior Lecturer and Associate Director for Undergraduate Studies in the department of psychology and OIT Faculty Fellow, continues to share his knowledge and experience in Universal Design for Learning (UDL). UDL is a framework to improve and optimize teaching and learning for all people based on scientific insights into how humans learn.

Throughout the fall, “Dr. Bob” is offering flexible, one-on-one consultations for UT Knoxville faculty on how to apply UDL principles in their coursework to increase student retention, persistence, and engagement in their online, on-campus, and hybrid courses. To schedule a meeting with Dr. Bob, select a day and time on his Book Me dashboard. He’s ready to talk with you about potential learning barriers in your courses and recommend universally accessible teaching solutions to maximize students’ purpose and motivation, resourcefulness and knowledge, and strategies for goal-directed success. Please join Dr. Bob for the upcoming OIT-sponsored, Universal Design for Learning (UDL) in Higher Education workshop, scheduled for Monday, 8/15/2022. Register Now.
