Brought to you by the One UT Collaboration & Innovation Grant

OIT is partnering with OLAP (Online Learning and Academic Programs) and all of the University of Tennessee campuses to coordinate a UT Webinar Series and Symposium on High Impact Practices. We share the goal of promoting awareness, facilitating discussion, and encouraging collaboration in the development of online and hybrid courses that integrate high-impact practices – efforts that lead to student success.

High impact practices are:

  • First-Year Seminars
  • Common Intellectual Experiences
  • Learning Communities
  • Writing-Intensive Classes
  • Collaborative Assignments and Projects
  • Undergraduate Research in the Humanities
  • Undergraduate Research in the Sciences
  • Diversity and Global Learning
  • eService Learning
  • Internships
  • Capstone Courses Projects
  • ePortfolios

Register for Sessions

Join us in a series of bimonthly webinars, starting February 10, where presenters representing all of the University of Tennessee campuses will contribute to the discussion and share their best practices. For more information, please go to the UT Webinars & Symposium website, where you can learn about the presentations and register for sessions you are interested in attending. Registration is available individually for each webinar; note that webinars are scheduled in Central/Memphis time.

Additionally, there will be an in-person symposium on High Impact Practices on March 24 and 25, 2022 at Montgomery Bell State Park in Burns, Tennessee. More information about this event will be available later this year on the UT Symposium website!
