Unicheck to Turnitin File Migration

Unicheck Going Away

Within Online@UT (Canvas), all student assignment files submitted using the Unicheck Plagiarism Detection and Prevention tool will be migrated to the Turnitin database during Spring Break, March 13 – 17.

Canvas administrators are taking this action to maintain the institutional history of student submissions for future assignment submission comparisons using the Turnitin tool. Once the file migration is complete, Unicheck will be disabled and Turnitin will be the tool to use for plagiarism detection/prevention in assignments. When we disable Unicheck, any previous Unicheck assignments will display None as the Plagiarism Review selection, and links to past Unicheck similarity reports will not be available.

Before leaving for Spring Break,
please take these actions:

  • Download any needed Unicheck similarity reports.
  • Edit any Unicheck assignments with scheduled due dates occurring after March 12th to Turnitin assignments.
