Prepare Now for Online Final Exams

Are you planning on hosting your final exam online? It’s not too early to begin planning your testing strategy. Regardless of your delivery method, be sure to give students the opportunity to practice prior to the exam.

A good place to start is one of our online self-paced workshops.

Best Practices for Online Assessment – enroll in this Canvas course to learn how to create online tests and assessments. In addition, you’ll learn how to:

  • Build Canvas exams
  • Encourage academic integrity
  • Make the most of available technologies
  • Use multimedia feedback
  • Use the Speed Grader in Canvas to grade and provide feedback on written assignments
  • Consider alternative assessment methods

Akindi – learn about Akindi, an online alternative to scantron bubble sheets.

Proctorio – earlier this year, Proctorio replaced Respondus Lockdown Browser. If this will be your first semester using Proctorio, consider performing a run-through using it for an assignment or quiz before your final. Use Proctorio through your Online@UT (Canvas) course site. You can reach out anytime for Proctorio online help. Check out this OIT article to learn how

Proctorio benefits include:

  • Helps to confirm the identity of the student taking the exam
  • Locks down the student’s web browser
  • Discourages academic misconduct
