OIT HelpDesk Closed for the Winter Break

OIT HelpDesk Hours through the Holiday

•  Closed: Friday, December 20, at 8:00 PM EST until Monday, December 30.
•  Closed: Tuesday, December 31, at 8:00 PM EST until Thursday, January 2

While the university is closed, OIT will continue to monitor the network, email, and major computer applications. To check the current status of IT systems, please visit the online IT System Status Center at help.utk.edu/status

We will follow up on any normal support requests received over that break beginning at 8:00 a.m. on January 2.  

Two-Factor Authentication and NetID Passwords

If you get a new phone over the holidays, you will need to restore your Duo account to the new phone before you are able to sign in using two-factor authentication. If your app isn’t working as expected, you can also use the restore to reactivate your device.  Check out the OIT Knowledge Base for step-by-step instructions for restoring Duo to your new phone.

If you need assistance with two-factor authentication or your NetID password while we are closed, please submit your request online at help.utk.edu, and our team will respond daily, Monday through Friday, while the university is closed.
