New Nodes Available for ACF Users

AMD Node graphic

An AMD compute node and two new 1.5 terabyte large memory compute nodes are now online and available for use to ACF users! The 32 core, x86 architecture compatible AMD compute node will allow for almost all applications to be run on the ACF without any modifications. If recompiling is necessary those instructions are available on the ACF website.  The two large memory nodes are made available due to recent University investment combined with a faculty researcher investment of memory and increases the nodes with 1 terabyte of memory or more to three. The availability of these nodes provides a small amount of additional diversity on the ACF. More information on how to use the AMD node can be found under the “Using the AMD Rome Nodes” section of the “Running Jobs” documentation page, as well as, the “Compiling” documentation page. More information regarding the large memory nodes can be found under the “Partitions” section of the “Running Jobs” tab on the ACF website. For any questions on these compute node additions contact the OIT Help Desk.
