Microsoft Teams for Work

Teams is a chat and collaboration platform that is integrated with Office 365 designed to simplify group work. With Teams’ integration with other Microsoft services, you can access shared files, collaborate on documents, hold video meetings, voice calls, and text chat between your team or individuals.

Within a Team you can create channels based on topics or projects. Each channel has threaded conversations and file storage, with the ability to add many other apps. You can also easily jump into voice or video chat with the channel participants with a single click.

Some other benefits:

  • Access the latest version of the document since file storage is attached directly to the channels
  • Conversation history within the channel
  • Private or Small group chats outside the team
  • Collaborate with individuals outside of the University easily
