macOS Monterey is now available

This year marks the 20th anniversary of Apple’s macOS operating system, and last week Apple released its latest operating system, macOS Monterey.
OIT recommends caution when upgrading your operating system to Monterey and only doing so after you have verified that all of your required applications and peripherals will work with the newer operating system. Past experience with Apple OS upgrades shows that Apple typically will release their first three patches within a few months of the upgrade being released, and by that time, an OS upgrade is less of a risk. If you do decide to proceed with the upgrade, please be sure to back up your data and locate any media and license codes for your essential applications before initiating the upgrade.
Visit Apple’s website for information about macOS Monterey, including new features and supported hardware.
