Jerry Riehl, 1959-2022

Jerry Riehl, a Vol for Life to the core, passed away suddenly on March 17, 2022. Jerry was the Manager of the Course Design and Delivery team in the Office of Innovative Technologies. During his 22-year career at the university he impacted many lives through his dedication to student learning and success as well as his service to the community. He was proud to receive the Chancellor’s Citation for Extraordinary Service to the University in 1988. He was also an honorary UT football coach in 2014 in appreciation of his work with the Athletic Department. 

To honor him, the family asks that donations be sent to The Big Orange Pantry and/or Smokey’s Closet which provide UT students in need with food and clothing.
