“Green Screen” Issue on MacBooks when Recording?


Have you experienced a “green screen” recording blocker when trying to capture your MacBook screen on Zoom or Panopto in the classroom? MacBooks have a digital rights management program that will often cause them to show a green screen when the system detects they are being recorded – especially when an HDMI cable is used. You may try connecting via AirPlay or Screen Mirroring rather than connecting with your HDMI cable. See this page on the classrooms.utk.edu site for more information.
