Designing for Inclusion Online

Quality online teaching requires thoughtful design. This summer, OIT is offering a collaborative and facilitated online learning experience for instructors, GTAs, and staff via a special workshop series through live Zoom sessions and asynchronous content and discussions. This series applies to those who are interested in creating inclusive learning experiences in Canvas by applying the principles of Universal Design for Learning (UDL).
This workshop will provide a flexible approach to attendance, participation, and practice over five- weeks this summer, beginning Monday, June 7. Participants should anticipate spending up to 5 hours of effort each week to benefit from the full training experience.
As part of the workshop, participants will engage asynchronously in learning content, then participate in synchronous or asynchronous cohort discussions, apply concepts to course materials, and gain valuable insights and feedback from the workshop facilitator and this community of learners.
